Our Story

The mission of Blanketed in Grace is to blanket God’s people in love, warmth, and grace. This idea came to me after one outreach with another ministry. When we asked everyone what we could do to help, our number one request was blankets. The ministry does not really specialize in those types of items, so I decided to do something about it. In the beginning, I was only planning to make blankets in my free time to help out, but a talk with my history teacher changed my mind. He asked me, “why not Kiley? What is stopping you from going all the way with this” And that got me thinking, so I went home and prayed about it. The next day my mom told me, “Don’t put God in a box because of your own fears”. With that, I chose to make Blanketed In Grace. We are officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. I have an official board, and volunteer team to help me with the continuous need for blankets.  I have started partnering with charities during the summer to continue my work. While starting and managing a non-profit is stressful, the best part of it is seeing these people’s faces. While challenging to see, Blanketed In Grace brings me the most joyful and rewarding experience. While giving blankets will not solve homelessness, it will start to improve their quality of life and raise awareness for homelessness.
